ISMIP 6, the Ice Sheet Model Intercomparison Project for the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) is set out to explore the future sea-level rise contribution from the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets by bringing together an international expertise on ice sheet models and coupled ice sheet-climate models.
The first intercomparison exercise within ISMIP6, which will focus on standalone ice sheet model initialisation is opening soon for participation. We are therefore organising a splinter meeting at the upcoming European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2015, April 12-17, in Vienna to present and discuss the experimental set-up with the community of ice sheet modellers.
ISMIP6 splinter meeting (SPM1.41)
Wednesday, 15 Apr 2015, 19:00 – 20:00
Location: R9 (36)
Please note also that an overview of the ISMIP6 project will be presented by Heiko Goelzer in session CR6.1 on Wednesday, 15 Apr 2015, 11:00 in Room R13.
