Presentations Available: ESA-CliC Earth Observation & Arctic Science Priorities Meeting

1The ESA-CliC Earth Observation & Arctic Science Priorities meeting was held on January 20, 2015, at the Fram Centre in Tromsø, Norway. The meeting aimed at discussing research priorities with the cryospheric science community and defining the next decade of priorities for Earth Observations within Arctic Research where ESA data may contribute. During this meeting ESA and CliC  collected recommendations to:
– define the main long-term priorities and scientific requirements to guide ESA scientific activities on Arctic research for the time frame 2015-2021; and
– develop shorter-term recommendations that will  define two potential ESA Support to Science Element projects that will address the major topics of Ice Sheet Mass Balance and Earth Observation for Arctic science.

The presentations from this meeting are now available online. A document compiling the abstracts of the presentations is also available. The agenda and other information on the meeting can be found on the ESA-CliC meeting webpage. A summary of the meeting is currently being drafted and feedback will be solicited shortly.
