Climate and Cryosphere is launching an open call for co-chair nominations to its Scientific Steering Group (SSG).
We are specifically, though not exclusively, seeking nominees with past participation and familiarity with CliC. The co-chair position is open to all nationalities, and we particularly welcome applications from those whose countries are not currently represented in our leadership. We also encourage indigenous and local scientists with experience living in communities directly impacted by cryospheric change to apply. While we hope to fill this position as soon as possible, the exact start date is flexible; we are open to discussing your preferred timeline.

About the CliC SSG and Co-chair Duties
The Scientific Steering Group (SSG) is the governing body of CliC and has the overall responsibility for planning, implementing and monitoring its activities. The SSG helps shape the international research agenda and functions as an integrator of activities to avoid duplication of efforts and liaise with partner organizations.
SSG membership is initially for four years with the possibility of two extensions for two years each. The terms of reference are as follows:
