Goals of workshop: The Ice Sheet Model Intercomparison Project for CMIP6 (ISMIP6) is a targeted activity of the Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) project of the World Climate Research Project (WCRP), which brings together for the first time in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP) history a consortium of international ice sheet models and coupled ice sheet – climate models with the goal of delivering projection of ice sheet evolution (and thus sea level change) for the IPCC AR6. As ISMIP6 reaches its final stage, the goals of the workshop are to evaluate and analyze the existing suite of ISMIP6 model simulations and prepare the last suite of experiments that can occur prior to the IPCC AR6 paper submission deadline (Dec 2019).
