How to get to Potsdam
Arriving from Berlin Tegel (TXL Airport)
From Tegel (TXL) airport take bus line X9 or 109 to station “Zoologischer Garten” in Berlin, follow the signs to the suburban trains (S‐Bahn) and take line S7 to “Potsdam Hauptbahnhof”.
Arriving from Schönefeld (SFX Airport)
From Schönefeld (SFX) airport take the regional train RB 22 to “Potsdam Hauptbahnhof”. Alternatively, take the S-Bahn line 59 and change trains at station “Westbreuz”, from there line S goes directly to “Potsdam Hauptbahnhof”.
To get to Potsdam from Tegel or Schönefeld, you need a Berlin ABC Ticket (3.10 Euro), which you can purchase at a ticket machine or kiosk at the airport or on the bus (not on the S-Bahn). You have to get the ticket stamped on the S-Bahn platform or in the bus. This one-way ticket is valid for 2 hours and includes regional trains, buses, S-Bahn and U-Bahn (subway) in both Berlin and Potsdam.
The taxi from Tegal Airport to Potsdam costs about 50 Euro, and from Schönefeld Airport about 80 Euro. Only advisable if you are really in a hurry, have heavy luggage or arrive very late (after 22:00).
IASC has reserved a block of rooms for this meeting at the Hotel Mercure, Lang Brücke, Potsdam.
“Potsdam Hauptbahnhof”, the central Potsdam train station, is located across the street from the hotel. The Albert Einstein Campus (meeting location) and downtown Potsdam are located within walking distance.
