Call for Abstracts: Cryosphere in a Warming World

Registration and abstract submission is ongoing for the Climate Symposium, which will take place in Darmstadt, Germany on 13-17 October 2014.

Of particular interest is the session entitled “Cryosphere in a Warming World” for which contributions are welcomed in areas related to satellite observations of the crysophere, the use of such observations in improving our understanding of processes and feedbacks involving the cryosphere, and future needs or opportunities to make use of existing or planned observations to allow better quantification of the changing cryosphere and the implications for adaptation and decision making. The session is chaired by Greg Flato (Environment Canada, CliC Co-Chair) and Vladimir Kattsov (Voeikov Main Geophysical Observatory, Lead author of the Cryosphere in a Changing Climate Grand Challenge White Paper).

We would like to highlight the following deadlines for registration and abstract submission which are fast approaching:

31 March 2014 – Deadline to submit applications for travel support
15 April 2014 – Deadline to submit abstracts (everyone)
15 May 2014 – Early registration deadline
