The First Circular of the International Symposium on the Cryosphere in a Changing Climate is now available.International Symposium on the Cryosphere in a Changing Climate is now available.The International Symposium will be held in Wellington, New Zealand, from 12 to 17 February 2017. The event is co-sponsored by the International Glaciological Society (IGS), the International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS), and CliC.
This is the first international symposium that will bring together three of the leading international organisations in the field of cryospheric research: IGS, IACS and CliC. The theme of the conference ‘The Cryosphere in a Changing Climate’ is global in scope with a focus on physical processes within the cryosphere, and interactions between the cryosphere and the climate system.
CliC Co-Chair Gerhard Krinner, CliC-WCRP Joint Scientific Committee Liaison James Renwick and CliC Activity leads Ben Galton Fenzi, Marika Holland, and Marilyn Raphael are members of the International Symposium Scientific Steering and Editorial Committee.
